Position – Officer, Admin and Accounts

Location – Varanasi

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Varanasi Weavers and Artisan Society membership management with due diligence
  • Issue membership code, management of member’s data & information, receiving & tracking membership & other service fees
  • Implement and monitor organizational & operational policies and procedures
  • Prepare and manage files & registers for stock, inventory, coding, tagging, invoice/indents, challans, receipt books, member declaration, assets register and other documents
  • Prepare and maintain data of buyers, vendors, dyers and other stakeholders important for production and marketing
  • Respond to all inquiries received at in consultation with  Head Business Development, VWAS and the concerned person at AIACA, Delhi
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of office equipment and taking care of other administrative work for VWAS for the smooth functioning of the society
  • Handling vendors & data base, raw materials procurement and distribution to weavers for production
  • Visit and hand holding support to Mubarakpur cluster of AIACA
  • Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system. Maintain financial files and records
  • Preparation of GST Return (Monthly and Quarterly)
  • Follow-up with C.A Firms & GST Consultant
  • Process and record all transactions related to Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Maintain complete and accurate vouchers files
  • Cash Handling, Reconciliation of Cash and Bank
  • Monthly Sales & Purchase Reconciliation
  • Recording of Membership fees
  • Maintaining day to day book keeping
  • Managing data and information and ensuring timely MIS and monthly reports to  Head-Business Development, VWAS
  • Any other assignment deemed as necessary for the organization and the project

Educational Qualifications and Work Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Commerce or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Candidate should have working knowledge of Tally ERP

Salary : Salary will be commensurate with qualification, work experience and salary history.

Craftmark Associate (Short-term assignments)

Location – Bangalore/Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Indore/Gwalior/Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

About the Position

The post of Craftmark associate involves project-based work which includes activities namely…Craftmark verification and Craft documentation. AIACA has a set format for both, that one needs to follow. We guide the associate for the same. One would need to travel to rural areas to access craft clusters for documentation and craft based organization to be verified. The post is ideal for travel enthusiasts with a keen interest in handicrafts and handlooms.

Educational/Technical Qualification:

  • Undergraduate or post graduates with atleast 2 years of work experience in the field of handicrafts or handlooms.
  • Thorough understanding of material and craft processes.
  • Freelance consultants are preferred

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct field research in various craft clusters.
  • Collect and document data.
  • Document craft processes, if required.
  • Must have cameras and know photography.
