HISTORY
The Wrought Iron Mini Tray is part of India’s traditional Loha Shilp / Lohshilp, where artisans shape iron entirely by hand using forging techniques.
Wrought iron craft in India traces its roots to tribal iron-smelting communities such as the Gond, Muria, Maria, Oraon, and Sahu. Historically, iron forging was used to create tools, weapons, ritual objects, musical instruments, and utility items.
Over time, the craft evolved into decorative and lifestyle products, with artisans crafting trays, candle stands, wall art, tableware, and figurines. The iconic style of Bastar wrought iron is internationally recognised for its rustic handmade finish and tribal motifs
