AIACA seeks to build organizational structures to link research activities to grass-roots problems and to ensure that that the voices and problems faced by craftspeople are accurately represented in policy forums. So as to ensure that the research and advocacy activities of AIACA were grounded in the livelihood constraints faced by craftworkers, AIACA has instituted committees to oversee research in the specific focus. These committees have member organizations that are actually undertaking livelihoods interventions with craftworkers at the grassroots level. |
