| DICRC was established in 2011 by Faculty of
Design and functions as an interface for the development and understanding
of regional Space Making Crafts (SMS – crafts related to Interior
Architecture, also known as Building Crafts) of Traditional and Vernacular
Buildings of India and integrates them in the current Interior Architecture
Practice as well as education. Its main objective is to conduct dedicated
research, documentation and organize programs, workshops and projects
related to SMCs. The importance of craft as a means of livelihood and
sustainability is also considered simultaneously by DICRC through its
various activities.
