Craftmark Standards
Craftmark developed to help protect India's unique
craft processes by distinguishing them from processes
used in the production of products in modern consumer
markets. At a minimum, Craftmark certification prohibits
child labor, and guarantees that hand-made aspect of the
craft process used. Craftmark strives to help
craftworkers produce high-quality items for a
competitive, global marketplace. Through industry
research, feedback from craft experts, and visits to
production sites, Craftmark developed a collection of
Certified Craft Processes. These craft
documentations, in addition to Craftmark's standards and
rating system, are the basis for Craftmark
